Perusse Completes Ironman Triathlon

Convergence Consulting Group would like to extend our congratulations to employee, Douglas Perusse, for his completion of this past weekend’s IRONMAN 70.3 Florida. While the rest of the CCG team was enjoying some fun in the sun at our annual summer outing, Doug was testing his endurance as he participated in this extremely challenging triathlon.

IRONMAN 70.3 Florida is a popular early-season race, whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned pro getting your legs ready for the year ahead. Participants experience a beach start, glassy freshwater lake swim, moderately hilly bike course past orange groves and through downtown, culminating in an energetic three-loop run finish surrounded by friends and family.

Following many months of training, Doug completed the 70.3 mile race in an impressive 6 hours, 36 minutes. His times are as follows: Swim (1.2 miles) – 1:01, Bike (56 miles) – 2:52, Run (13.1 miles) – 2:33.

Bay News 9 was on-hand, and happened to catch Perusse (2nd rider pictured) during his bike ride.

CCG is committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle among all employees, and Doug certainly embodied that this weekend. While he was missed at the summer outing, the entire CCG team commends him for his dedication and perseverance. “We’re very proud of Doug and his amazing accomplishment in this incredible race!” said Brian Rimes, VP of Business Development.

Upon completion of the race, Doug was greeted by his sister, Kristina.
